Workshop

Irrigation Diversion Rehabilitation and Fish Passage

Wednesday, May 16, 2007

7:45 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.

To date, site issues and costs have constrained fish passage designs at irrigation diversion structures to favor stronger swimming fish species.  This workshop on incorporating fish passage when irrigation diversion structures are rehabilitated will look at previous designs and will address how those designs could be modified to allow passage by a fuller range of fish sizes and types.

You will spend a pleasant morning with our presenters at the St. Julien Hotel in downtown Boulder, followed by a picnic lunch and an invigorating afternoon outside, visiting sites along beautiful Boulder Creek and South Boulder Creek.

Presenters will include Doug Laiho of Hydrosphere, Jay Skinner of the Colorado Division of Wildlife, Ashley Ficke of GEI Consultants, Bob Crifasi and Don D'Amico of the City of Boulder, Sasha Charney of Boulder County, and Brent Mefford of the US Bureau of Reclamation.
