Jean Marie Boyer

Senior Engineering Manager

Dr. Boyer is an engineer and project manager with 24 years' experience in water-quality modeling and analysis; design, development and application of decision support systems; and water resources planning and management.

She has provided expert witness testimony (deposition and trial) in a number of litigations involving surface water quality and groundwater contamination.

She has been the project manager and lead scientist on several reservoir and lake water-quality modeling projects in Colorado and has performed water quality analyses on streams and reservoirs in New Mexico, Florida, Nevada and California. She recently directed the Three Lakes Clean Lakes Watershed Assessment study, an integrated watershed and lake/reservoir water-quality modeling project.

Her experience includes analysis of a variety of constituents including temperature, nutrients, dissolved oxygen, toxic substances, sediment, salinity, and pathogenic microorganisms in lakes, reservoirs, and streams.

Her research has been published in numerous conference proceedings and in the refereed journals, European Journal of Engineering Education, Research Journal WPCF, and Water Environment Research.

Dr. Boyer is the Region 8 Director of the North American Lake Management Society and is active in the Colorado Lake and Reservoir Management Association.

She is a Registered Professional Engineer in Colorado, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. Dr. Boyer holds a PhD in Civil (Environmental) Engineering and an MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin.
